Countdown Clock and Fundraising Thermometer are here!

So, after a series of technical difficulties I've finally been able to add a countdown clock AND a fundraising thermometer to our site.  Obviously, its counting down to the date that we leave.  However, when I get final flight information, I will be able to put that in and it will count down to the exact time that our plane leaves!  The thermometer is running low on mercury right at this time.  Let's get it full!

EDIT: in case you're wondering, yes, i did indeed change the thermometer. the green mercury was not very convincing and this one even leaks out the top once we make more money than the goal. (because there's no space for it in the thermometer itself.)

EDIT: the thermometer is not working right now for some reason.

We get to see live volcanoes up close!

Did you know that the town where we will probably be staying is very close to a live volcano named Arenal? There are 4 active volcanoes in Costa Rica. I think the prospect of seeing a volcano up close is REALLY COOL! In one thing I read, it said that on a clear night you can see the volcano flaring up and even see molten lava at times! Apparently it is a real tourist attraction. The town is called La Fortuna de San Carlos or La Fortuna for short. I can't wait to see my first volcano with y'all! See ya!
